You may remember that time last year when four friends and I had a manic night and made a zine. Well, at some point early in 2020 – before quarantine, and all it entailed – it happened again. Back in, hmm, February I think, my partner and I took two of our close friends to visit Edinburgh’s very own Museum of Childhood, host to a wide collection of absolutely cursed objects and experiences. The visit left quite an impression on all four of us, and that evening we knew there was only one avenue of action open to us – we had to make a stupid zine.
A mere seven(?) months later, and I’ve finally gotten around to compiling the art and poetry we scribbled down that evening. I think this is actually a longer gap than when I was compiling the last zine, which has troubling implications for how productive I’m going to be in the future. Nonetheless: F.R.I.E.D.S. is here now, and you can read it, and in the end I think that’s all that really matters. Here’s a link to a fun, hopefully-readable format! And, while you’re around, please check out my fellow contributors’ work at the appropriate locations: Alice blogs at Alice is on an Adventure, and Oscar’s Stirling Poetry is right here.
Unti next time,
